My major research interests include:

1. Injury prevention among individuals with disabilities
2. Pediatric injury research and prevention in the developing world

My team’s research focuses on the epidemiology of nonfatal injuries among children and adults with disabilities. Our research has demonstrated that individuals with disabilities are at significantly higher risk of injury than those without disabilities, but those injuries are preventable. Our team is also collaborating with researchers in China to study agricultural injuries among school-age children, drowning death and near-drowning events among children and pediatric traumatic brain injuries.
